Advisories

Plain-language guidance attached to the current hazard outlook. Every advisory states its hazard, lead time, area and confidence — and none of them override an official instruction.

How to read an advisory

  • Threshold: the level at which the hazard becomes actionable for the sector in question.
  • Lead time: how many days ahead the advisory applies, from the forecast horizon it came from.
  • Affected area: the administrative units the advisory covers.
  • Status: active, escalating or all-clear, with the prediction date it was generated from.

Advisories are decision support for planning. For evacuation, shelter and emergency instructions, follow BMD, FFWC, DDM and your local administration.
